When the Unexpected Happens

Every time we get into our vehicles and put our hands on the wheel, we never think that
the unexpected can happen. We may believe we’re good drivers, but we never know
what other drivers are thinking or how they might act on the road.
Having experienced a major car accident involving my family. It was the motivating factor
for me to become an insurance agent. I understood how important it is to have someone
on your side during such times. That’s how
Baja Sunrise Insurance came to be and
“walking the extra mile with you” our motto.
We know the importance of having support
during an accident because I’ve been
there myself.
In recent months, we’ve seen an increase in
the number of accidents in and around San
Felipe. This article is not intended to put fear
into the minds of visitors or residents, but to
reinforce the need for proper Mexican Insur-
ance, and to highlight the importance of being
cautious and prepared.
Recently, we were involved in assisting our
clients in two major accidents. The first ac-
cident involved a client crossing the road at
La Ventana del Mar. While crossing the last
two lanes, a vehicle hit my client on the side,
causing the vehicle to roll over and hit a nearby post. When I arrived the Guardia National
and the Red Cross, were transporting the occupant to the Centro de Salud hospital.
There, she was stabilized and we made arrangements for her to be transported to the
United States for immediate medical assistance. She has fully recovered.
The second one was two vehicles hitting a perimeter wall near Rancho Market. Thankfully,
no one was seriously injured. I was called and arrived quickly to assist in ensuring the
safety and well-being of everyone involved.
I find one of the most important parts of our assistance is to be able to translate between
the parties involved if needed. We are then also able to explain to our clients the laws
as it applies to the case, and coordinated with the Guardia Nacional the legalities and
solution to the situation
Having car insurance is not just about a piece of paper; it’s about having people willing to
help when the unexpected happens. As an agent I understand the importance of having
someone to guide you, fight for you, and ensure you get the assistance you need. Our
stories highlight the importance of being prepared. Don’t hesitate to get your insurance
because accidents happen, and there’s always a way to minimize the damage.
