I asked her reason for using watercolors as her medium. “I chose watercolors for
my paintings because of it’s randomness, It is impossible to control, you can only
cooperate with it is always a challenge, I enjoy it”. She continues “Watercolor is
considered a difficult technique, once the brush touches the paper, nothing can be
corrected. You have to be aware of this specially in the small details.”

As we finish our chat,
she adds, “Every
moment of our lives
is filled with magic,
warmth and small
events. I remark
them and depict in
my painting,so I can
give this life’s gifts to
everybody.” I enjoyed
her beautiful exhi-
bition, with such an
arry of subjects and
Collecting Moments not Things colors.

Elizaveta has gone back home to Kaluga, where she resides with her two children.
When asked if she planing to return to San Felipe, she said “ I hope to come back
and spend time with all the new and warm friends I met this trip, perhaps next winter.”
