HOLE 12 - Pedro Infante (1917-1957) Was a Mexican ranchera singer and
                                            w
         actor whose career spanned the golden age of Mexican cinema. He was born
         in Sinaloa, and from 1939 until his death, Infante acted in over 60 films and re-
         corded over 350 songs. For his performance in the movie Tizoc, he was posthu-

         mously awarded the Silver Bear for Best Actor at the 7th Berlin International Film
         Festival. He will never be forgotten by his fans that span many generations.


























         HOLE 13 - Jose Alfredo Jimenez (1926-1973) was a Mexican singer-songwriter,
         whose songs are regarded as the basis of modern regional Mexican music and
         rancheras. Known as “El Rey,” his songs have been recorded by stars as diverse
         as Mexico’s Luis Miguel and Spain’s María Dolores Pradera, and even a modern
         salsa rendition of a corrido by Panamanian salsa star Rubén Blades. One of the
         artist’s final works is titled simply “Gracias,” in which he expresses gratitude for his
         fan’s long-lived loyalty and affection.
