HOLE 14 - Lola Beltran (1931-1996) Is and was one of Mexico’s most acclaimed
singers of Ranchera and Huapango music. She collaborated with other Mexican
music stars, and became internationally renowned for her interpretation of the songs
“Cucurrucucú Paloma” and “Paloma Negra,” and sang before world leaders in Paris,
Moscow and Bellas Artes in Mexico City. Her song Soy Infeliz, was the opening
music for Pedro Almodóvar’s film “Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.”

an, actor, and filmmaker. He is considered to have been the most widely ac-
complished Mexican comedian and is well known throughout Latin America and
Spain. Charlie Chaplin once commented that he was the best comedian alive,
and is referred to as Charlie Chaplin of Mexico. To audiences in most of the world,
he is best remembered as co-starring with David Niven in the Oscar-winning film
Around the World in 80 Days, for which Moreno won a Golden Globe Award.
