                                n March 15th and 16th the Baja Desert will turn a bright pink color as
        the running of the 11th edition of CODE Race for Boobs ( Mujeres que Viven) gets
        started. The racers will gather at Laguna Salada, near Mexicali, the lowest region
        in the entire Mexican Republic, at an altitude of 12 meters below sea level. This off-
        road race is carried out exclusively by female drivers, who unite their talents  behind
        the wheel, and join the cause of supporting patients in their battle against breast
        cancer.
        Our San Felipe’s racing crew,
        the Desert Dames, will once
        again be in the competition.
        With  Driver  Dawnette Car-
        penter  and  co-driver  Tracy
        Adams starting the first leg
        of the race, after completing
        their portion, they will switch
        places  with  fellow  team
        members  Kate Van Dyke
        and  co-driver  Coey  Wilson
        to    finish  this  grueling  and
        adrenaline  filled  event. This
        year will bring back the good
        old 1974 Swag Beetle with it’s 2.2lt ecotec engine, for it’s 3rd attempt at gold!. They
        all agree that “Our main interest in participating in the race is not only to compete,
        but to bring awareness to the need to find a cure for a disease that affects millions
        of women.”
        Cara Curfew-Kociela, a former team co-driver decided to let Coey, a first time driver,
        who got hooked on racing after taking a drive with Dawnette at a fund racing event
        last year. She was quoted as saying. “ I just wanted to go again and again, it was
